The Anthem Medicaid Academy offers targeted training to network health care practitioners in a wide variety of subject matter areas including preventive care, holistic health, autism spectrum disorder, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, addictionology, integrated care and more.
Expert-developed and customized, our course modules are designed to accommodate various formats, media and schedules and provide a consistent, compliant and comprehensive approach to training. Anthem Medicaid Academy will assure that all provider training offered is tracked, monitored, accredited and reported.
We have developed collaborative partnerships with Indiana University and our national training partner, Relias, to offer this training to help our providers earn continuing medical education (CME) and continuing education unit (CEU) credits as well as promote greater understanding of our Medicaid programs, processes and population needs for all audiences.
CME, tailored toward the professional needs of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, is available through the Indiana University School of Medicine. This training program is implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The Indiana University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide CME for physicians.
Complementary access is provided to an online training geared toward all practitioners. You can obtain a login by emailing Relias. Once you have created a login, you will be able to access a variety of trainings, most offering CEU credits.
Elsevier is a new resource to our Provider Training Academy. Elsevier provides computer-based curricula for the Indiana Medicaid Training Academy and gives easy access to training modules designed to assist you and your team in providing enhanced support and services for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield members. Elsevier provides a record and transcripts of your completed courses as well as any CEU credits earned. Some of the courses include:
Trauma Matters: Understanding Trauma and Its Impact
Disability Rights and Independent Living
All participating providers have access to Elsevier. If you have a login for Relias, you can use the same login ID; the default password is hello (all lowercase). You will be asked to update your password after your first login.
If you do not have a Relias login, then you can request your Elsevier login by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Elsevier Guide is available with information on using the system.
Providers experiencing access issues should email their name and login ID to email@example.com.
